Three concentric rings
Ring 1 — Solo developers running multiple coding agents
The "plug-and-play" pitch is aimed here. CLI auto-detects whatever local agent CLIs you have (claude, codex, cursor-agent, openclaw, opencode, hermes, gemini, pi, kimi, kiro-cli). Run multica setup and you're orchestrating in 5 minutes. The "Hire your first AI employee in the next hour" landing-page promise speaks to this user.
Ring 2 — Small engineering teams using AI on real projects
The board view, assignee picker (humans + agents in the same dropdown), comment threads, and unified activity timeline target this audience. Quote from the landing: "You can also open a chat window and talk to it directly." Also: "Built for teams that want to collaborate with AI agents on real projects together." (vs the Paperclip comparison they ship).
Ring 3 — Self-hosting / regulated teams
- Docker Compose, single binary, or Kubernetes deploys.
- "Your data never leaves your network."
- "Bring your own LLM provider, swap agent backends, extend the API."
- Multi-workspace isolation with workspace-level settings.
- Open-source = auditable codebase.
The compliance-aware framing without being a compliance company. Light enterprise motion, but not absent.
Where they're explicitly NOT targeting
- Non-coders / makers / solopreneurs — no prompt-to-app flow, no templates. Everyone lands on
multica setupand a Linear-style board. - Enterprise procurement — no SOC 2 / customer logos / SSO marketed (yet). Self-host is the answer to compliance, not a checklist.

Multica's ICP doesn't overlap with builders or runtimes meaningfully. The closest CreateOS-relevant overlap is Ring 2 — small teams already running coding agents who'd like the agents to earn money through their work. That's a partnership thesis, not a competition thesis.
